The Promise is not Vain

It's been a difficult weekend for our little family, but a treasured Sunday as our church threw a goodbye party for us. My heart has been lifted from the depths in countless ways by my church family the past couple days. We even got to worship with them tonight and this verse sticks in my head as I can barely keep my eyes open:

O Joy that seekest me through pain,
I cannot close my heart to thee;
I trace the rainbow through the rain,
And feel the promise is not vain,
That morn shall tearless be.
